Born in Kyiv, raised in Havana, and based in Barcelona for over three decades, Maya brings a singular global sensitivity to everything she creates. Maya discovered her gift for painting later in life, in the wake of war, when a close friend placed a palette knife in her hands. That simple gesture unlocked a powerful creative voice, now visible in every textured canvas and layered stroke she creates.
